Para Hills Brass Band will be playing here at Ryan’s Christmas Lights on 23 December between 8:30 and 9:30 pm. Also this year our neighbour Mazz will lead a singalong in-between the band’s first and second set of carols. Bring a folding camping chair if you like, there’s plenty of space opposite us in the public reserve.

Dry weather returns, and so do the lights
After a wet few days, dry weather has returned at last! This means the display is back running in full, nightly between 8:30 and 10:30 pm (unless raining).
Videos of this year’s display are expected to be uploaded over the next week. A couple of photos are available to view now.
Wet weather forecast over the next few days, display may not run
With rain forecast over the next few days, the display may be dark. The light show does not run during wet weather. If you were planning to visit the lights tonight or tomorrow, consider rescheduling until the weather clears up to avoid disappointment. Apologies!
Back for 2023 with a rebuilt mega tree and running all December!
Ryan’s Christmas Lights returned for 2023 tonight, Friday December 1st. Nightly show times are 8:30 to 10:30 pm. You can find the display in Salisbury East, South Australia – check out the directions page for more details.
This year features a newly rebuilt mega tree now using all digital pixel lights for many more possible light patterns.
Jingle Bells is this year’s brand new song. Together with Christmas songs from past years, one play-through of 2023’s show lasts just under 30 minutes. Each of these songs from previous years have been tweaked to make the most of this year’s new lights.
Local brass band Para Hills Brass Band returning to play this Friday
PARA HILLS BRASS BAND once again will visit Ryan’s Christmas Lights. This is scheduled for Friday this week, 23 December, between 8:30 pm and about 9:30 pm, with a 10 minute break in the middle. Here, a number of popular Christmas-themed tunes will be played. In detail, they include:

- Silent Night
- Joy to the World
- Good King Wenceslas
- Jingle Bells
- Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer
- Santa Claus is Coming to Town
- Hark the Herald Angels Sing
- Away in a Manger
- Deck the Halls

Afterward, the regular synchronised Christmas light show will start (at around 9:30 pm) and run until the normal finish time of 10:30 pm.
As a reminder, as we get closer to Christmas Day, both foot and vehicle traffic increase. Please take care while driving in the area and crossing the road.

2022 light show? YES – from December first weekend
Ryan’s Christmas Lights returns for 2022 with a small amount of physical changes and also a new song. The changes relate to some new additions of mini trees and miniature leaping arches to the garden. This year’s new song is an upbeat version of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.
The first show will be December 3rd, and then nightly between 8:30 and 10:30 pm (unless raining).

A local brass band is playing at the display tomorrow evening.
PARA HILLS BRASS BAND will visit Ryan’s Christmas Lights 2021 for a local carols evening tomorrow (23 December) between 8:30 pm and about 9:15 pm. They will play through a number of popular carols such as ANGELS WE HAVE ON HIGH, JINGLE BELLS and SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN, just to name a small few. There will be two sets of carols with a 5 minute intermission in-between.
The usual display music will be muted while the band plays. The regular synchronised to music Christmas light show will start after the band has concluded at around 9:15 pm and run until the normal finish time of 10:30 pm.
Also a friendly reminder about possible increased pedestrian traffic. Please take care while driving in the area. Foot traffic tends to ramp up as Christmas Day edges closer.
