Merry Christmas this 2012, enjoy the display videos!

The big day has arrived, may it be filled with happiness and family fun.

Just in time to go along with the festivities, the last of this year’s display videos are now online for your viewing pleasure.

Merry Christmas to all!

Let there be light!

The 2012 season for Christmas lights has begun! There were a few spots of rain and the odd clap of thunder earlier, but the weather cleared just in time. As always, the light show running times are 8:30 to 10:30 pm throughout December.

The webcam is up and running during show times for those who want to see the display live. Photos and HD videos will begin to appear in the next few days. So many ways to see the display, but nothing beats seeing it in person (need directions?)

The roll out begins for 2012

It is now more than half way through October and the display is now in the process of being installed. Controllers were reassembled at the start of the month but the focus is now on the placement of actual decorations.

You can follow the progress by keeping an eye on this blog as well as the recently activated 2012 photo gallery, containing a growing number of setup photos. Can you work out what the new lights may be for or what they do different to past lights?

2011 Video and Photos are up for viewing

It is halfway through December, and Christmas is not far away!

All videos of this year’s display have now been added to the website. But don’t forget photos, they have been uploaded too!

The 2011 photo gallery uses a new format to previous years. Is the new gallery format better or worse than previous years? Let me know!

‘Mini’ Show Likely To Run Tonight

It seems progress is finally being made in drying out the wet electronics. Clearing out water from a power board is not that easy when you are unable to open up the casing for inspection.

Providing it does not rain this evening, I should be able to have the windows, roof and mega tree operating. Much of the garden will probably still be turned off for another day or two, though.

Amongst all this, a video of the display dancing to Wizards In Winter is now online (this was filmed before the weather event)

Two More Videos, Rain May Mean No Show Tonight

The rain has been very heavy today, so it is looking unlikely that there will be any lights running tonight. The weather forecast shows that the heavy rains are likely to continue into tomorrow night as well, potentially meaning two consecutive nights without a display. Please keep this in mind if you are traveling from afar these next few nights – I wouldn’t want to disappoint!

On the brighter side, two more videos of this year’s light show are now live on the video page – enjoy!
